On May 18, the Shenzhen main venue event for International Museum Day 2026 grandly opened at Shenzhen Jewelry Museum. Hosted jointly by Shenzhen Municipal Bureau of Culture, Radio, Television, Tourism and Sports and Luohu District People’s Government, the event themed “Museums Empower Industries: Linking History, Technology and Industrial Future” gathered cultural and museum experts, industry leaders and tech enterprise delegates to explore innovative paths for digital transformation and industrial integration of cultural heritage sectors.

A high-end cross-industry salon themed “Digitization Empowers Industries, Intelligence Creates Shared Future” was held concurrently on the opening day. In-depth discussions centered on the cultural essence and industrial value of exhibitions, museums’ role as an interconnecting hub, and how digital technologies upgrade visiting experience. Hu Shaohua, General Manager of HIPINE, was invited to the salon to exchange insights with distinguished guests on the prospect of cultural heritage industry empowered by digital technology.
During the event, Xie Taichun from the Creative Curatorial Department of Urban Media Center under Shenzhen Press Group officially announced that the Refining Gold & Selecting Essence – Shenzhen Shuibei Gold & Jewelry Art Exhibition would be staged at China Arts and Crafts Museum (China Intangible Cultural Heritage Museum) in June. The exhibition showcases the forty-year heritage and innovative intangible heritage achievements of Shenzhen’s jewelry industry, marking a historic milestone as Shuibei’s jewelry sector makes its first collective appearance at a national-level cultural venue.

As an exhibiting brand of the event, Hu Shaohua elaborated on HIPINE’s exhibition highlights on site. HIPINE will bring its premium collectible series Twelve Solar Terms of Intangible Heritage to the Beijing debut. Drawing inspiration from ancient Chinese timekeeping philosophy including Heavenly Stems, Earthly Branches and Yin-Yang Five Elements theories, the collection integrates multiple national-level intangible heritage craftsmanship into precious metal watch design. It upgrades intangible heritage from static craftsmanship display to wearable cultural carrier, elevating precious metal timepieces from wearable valuables to wearable cultural icons.
He remarked: “Shuibei of Shenzhen boasts abundant outstanding designs yet lacks nationwide cultural display platforms. This debut exhibition in Beijing delivers a historic chance for local Shuibei brands to march from industrial base to highland of culture.”
Looking ahead, HIPINE plans to co-establish studios with numerous national master craftsmen and official inheritors of intangible cultural heritage, building a diversified ecosystem featuring integrated culture, industry and technology. The brand aims to drive Shuibei jewelry industry toward higher value chain and rejuvenate traditional oriental intangible heritage via contemporary watch craftsmanship.
